Apple (UK)
As part of its business growth strategy, technology company Apple is recruiting to fill approximately 50 high level roles within its UK operations. Based mainly in London and at its UK headquarters in Middlesex, the vacancies include opportunities for IT, finance and e-commerce specialists.

Deloitte LLP
Professional services firm Deloitte has secured a contract to establish a national Centre for Excellence in the North East, which could lead to the creation of 100 jobs over two years. The new centre will support Deloitte offices nationwide with audit services.

Amazon, the international online retailer, is recruiting 400 new UK staff to support business growth and expansion. The jobs include HR vacancies, I.T. roles, sales & marketing positions and others in legal, customer services, admin, finance and operations.

UBS, a global financial services firm, is expanding its London office with the appointment of 130 staff in areas such as administration, customer services IT, finance, risk, sales and marketing.

Telecoms company Vodafone, is to recruit 113 new staff at their call centre in Ireland to meet demand for services. The new roles will be created in technology and networks, customer service, HR, finance, sales and marketing. 57 of these new positions will be permanent.

Liberty Marketing
Liberty Marketing, the Cardiff-based digital marketing agency, will relocate to a larger office in Cardiff. The company has created 23 new jobs with more expected to accommodate the growth.

Reckitt Benkiser
Reckitt Benckiser Group, the manufacturer of health, hygiene and home products, is actively recruiting to fill 60 jobs in Marketing, Research, IT, Sales and Customer Services.

Santander UK
Santander Corporate & Commercial has opened a new corporate business centre in Truro, creating 10 jobs. The bank is planning to open another centre in Plymouth later in 2014, with further jobs expected.

Edge Testing Solutions
North Lanarkshire-based software and web testing business, Edge Testing Solutions is looking to expand in England and Scotland. The group has opened a London office and is to create a further 12 jobs across its English and Scottish operations in 2014.

A legal software business, Rekoop in Manchester is to create ten new jobs. Rekoop, assists legal professionals in 35 countries.

Nuclear Engineering Group
Nuclear Engineering Services, which designs and manufactures solutions for the nuclear sector, is actively seeking design, mechanical and software engineers to join its workforce. NES has headquarters in Wolverhampton and two further sites in Cheshire and Cumbria.

Serco Group
Serco, the international service company is recruiting around 150 new members of staff to be based at its state-of-the-art contact centre facility in Sheffield. Serco has developed its centre of excellence taking its employees over 700 and the number of customer contacts to over 7m a year.

DocuSign, which provide electronic signature technology, expects to increase employee numbers to 1,000 in 2014 and expand its London office, support product development and increase marketing activities.

Studio West School
Studio West, a new Tyneside school, expects to create 16 new jobs when it opens in September 2014. The school is recruiting learning coaches, personal coaches and administration staff. The coaches will work with local businesses to set assignments for students.

RMSpumptools, which provides artificial lift and subsea connector technology, plans to create 10 new jobs. The company has its Head Office and Mechanical Design Centre in Aberdeenshire, and an Electrical Design Centre, and Manufacturing facilities in North Yorkshire.

Jones FM
Jones FM, a building services and facilities management company, has doubled in size and will relocate to a new headquarters in Kent. The company has increased its workforce from 18 to 34 staff. It expects to create a further 16 jobs.

BT is creating graduate jobs in the North East as part of a nationwide expansion drive. The company is looking for science, tech and business graduates.

Adviserplus Business Solutions
AdviserPlus, the Yorkshire-based professional advisory and support services provider is creating 80 new jobs are also being created as a result of new contract wins.

Sony are creating 26 new permanent jobs at its site in Bridgend. The positions are being created to support the increased demand across all areas of the manufacturer's business and the new employees will work across all areas, including logistics and product testing.

HS Direct
Sheffield-headquartered HS Direct, which provides online health and safety solutions, has opened a branch in Cambridgeshire, creating up to 15 new jobs.

Vodafone, the national telecoms firm, has launched a store expansion programme which will create 200 new jobs and 50 new outlets. The company has a turnover of GBP 14.3bn, currently employs 91,272 staff. Chief Financial Officer Andy Halford.

Synectics Solutions
Synectics Solutions, a provider of fraud prevention and risk management solutions, has invested in personnel, increasing its team to 247.

Software firm SpeechStorm is creating nine jobs at its headquarters in Belfast after securing international contracts. SpeechStorm plans to significantly grow its revenues in the three years to 2017 and expand in the UK, Ireland, US and Europe.

BAE Systems
Defence company BAE Systems is to recruit 287 graduates across the UK, with approximately 120 joining BAE Systems Applied Intelligence in Surrey, London and Leeds.

Edududes, a developer of education software systems, is creating 15 jobs and is expanding into a new headquarters in Derby.

Willis & Company
400 new jobs are to be created at insurance brokers Willis in Ipswich.

Southend Airport
The second phase of the new terminal of Southend Airport is due to be opened at the end of February 2014, creating 300 Jobs will be created.

Hastings Direct
Insurance company Hastings Direct is creating 80 jobs at its office in East Sussex, and 20 new positions at its Suffolk office. Hastings Direct has doubled in size in the last 3 years.

Meridian Delta
Newcastle marketing company Meridian Delta plans to create 25 jobs, increasing its workforce to 70, after signing contracts with Manchester United, Nestle, Ford and Asda.

Travelodge Hotels
Hotel chain Travelodge is to create 1,000 new jobs in 2014 with the opening of 15 new hotels across the United Kingdom. There is a likelihood of a variety of roles available.

Autonet Insurance Services
Burslem based insurance broker Autonet is recruiting more than 50 staff to support the growth of the business in a range of roles between now and March, with further recruitment drives later in the year.

Sunderland-based software firm SaleCycle is creating a further 150 jobs to meet growing demand. The company has launched a new service designed to help its retail clients increase their online sales.

Oricom, a telecommunications company, are set to expand their business in Irvine with the creation of around 15 jobs. The Irvine site will be the new head office and nerve centre where sales, service and finance come together.

IKEA is expanding its customer contact centre in Fletton and is expecting to create 200 new jobs, with the possibility of supervisory and management positions.

Capita is to create more than 500 jobs in its Dearne Valley and Leeds call centres, meaning more supervisory and central business positions are likely to be available. The vacancies have been created in Capita's customer services business.

Customer experience company Webhelp is to recruit over 600 new people throughout its UK network over the next two months. Webhelp is looking to recruit 177 new permanent positions in Derby, over 150 in Dearne Valley and 75 in Falkirk. Jobs will also be created in the Glasgow, Kilmarnock and Greenock sites. The increase in staff suggests the potential for more managerial positions.

Minster Law Group
Yorkshire-based Minster Law is expanding into London with the launch of a 30-strong city-based team, as part of its strategy to become a market leader in multi-track and catastrophic personal injury.

Asons Solicitors
Bolton firm Asons Solicitors is to develop a 7m office building and revealed plans to create 300 jobs. It will serve as the hub of the firm's operations, while Satellite offices are planned for Singapore, London, Dubai, New York and Pakistan.

BT Group
BT is creating 165 new jobs at its contact centre operation in Belfast. The new roles will bring the total number of new jobs BT has brought to Belfast since August 2012 to 270.

Watson, Farley & Williams
Watson Farley & Williams, the London-based law firm, has seen a 12% increase in turnover for the first six months of 2013, now at £52m. The company has also created 15 new jobs.

Collingwood Insurance Services
North Shields based car insurer Collingwood Insurance Services is to bring 100 new contact centre jobs to the borough after securing new offices in the area.

Sitel, providers of outsourced customer care solutions, has created a further 75 jobs in Watford. This expansion follows the earlier creation of 150 new jobs at its Stratford upon Avon site.

Imagematch Social Enterprise
Imagematch are to take on 100 apprentices to reduce youth unemployment in Shropshire. The company has recently moved to large new offices and is to employ the apprentices full time before placing them with companies.

Law firm DAC Beachcroft is acquiring a 54-strong Bristol-based team from Morgan Cole, as part of its expansion strategy. The volume claims and catastrophic insurance team comprises 5 partners and 54 staff members. DAC Beachcroft has a turnover of 163.5m, and 1,840 employees.

Capita, the customer management services firm, is creating 200 new jobs at a call centre in Leeds. It is also hoping to fill another 300 vacancies at its two call centres in the Dearne Valley. The expansion follows new contract wins and the extension of existing contracts.

Sf Recruitment
Recruitment company SF Group has opened a Leicester office with 11 consultants and aims to increase staff numbers to 20 over one year.

Tolerant Systems
Tolerant Systems, an IT security and compliance company, expects to turnover 600,000 in its first year. The firm employs 20 people and expects to create further jobs as it continues to expand in the UK and internationally.

Harvard Engineering
Harvard Engineering, the Yorkshire-based manufacturer, has sold a minority shareholding to ECI Partners to help pursue its growth plans. The funding will allow the firm to increase staff numbers from 300 to 500 as well as build a new R&D and manufacturing facility.

Active Industrial Services
Active Industrial Services is growing rapidly and is targeting £60m turnover as part of a 5-year business development plan. Employee numbers have grown from 29 to 37, with further employment opportunities expected as expansion continues. The Staffordshire-headquartered group provides supply chain management and industrial engineering services.

Civica UK has continued to expand with a 10% increase in turnover to 109.6m, while staff numbers have increased from 841 to 1,060. The company, which has a regional office in the West Midlands, has secured a presence on all four lots of the latest iteration of the Government G-Cloud framework.

Kc Contact Centres
Sales success at retailer Victoria Plumb has led to the creation of more than 30 new jobs at Hull based outsourced contact centre provider KC Contact Centres.

Civica Uk
Civica UK has continued to expand with a 10% increase in turnover to 109.6m, while staff numbers have increased from 841 to 1,060. The company, which has a regional office in the West Midlands, has secured a presence on all four Lots of the latest iteration of the Government G-Cloud framework.

Energy procurement consultancy Utilitywise is to create 30 jobs, including energy consultant and team manager roles, at its office in the West Midlands. The company has grown through acquisitions to become one of the largest firms in the industry and is now expanding further. Utilitywise has turnover of £14.4m and 230 employees.

Alstom Ltd
Engineering company Alstom is currently hiring staff at its national sales and servicing headquarters. The roles will include sales and servicing positions. The company currently employs 6,500 people across the country and has 300 vacancies UK-wide. UK sales in the first six months of its current year were £574 million.

Goodrich Actuation Systems
Goodrich Actuation Systems, an expanding aerospace firm with a UK base in the West Midlands, has increased staff headcount from 1,291 to 1,445, while turnover has grown by 14% to 246.8m. The company is a business division of UTC Aerospace Systems, one of the largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defence products in the world.

Blue Rainbow Apartments
Blue Rainbow Apartments, the Manchester-based hospitality firm, is launching a new venture, Tea 42 in a £325k investment. The venture will launch with its first caf in the city centre, creating 40 jobs, with 20 locations planned. The company aims to grow turnover from £4m to £13m by 2017.

Alun Griffiths (Contractors)
Wales-based contractor Alun Griffiths is to start work on the 1.5m expansion of Shrewsbury Business Park in Shropshire. The project is expected to generate 13m of private sector investment, potentially creating 600 jobs.

Job announcements for Nov week 1....

Inoapps, the software and IT solutions company, has invested £600,000 in a new head office in Aberdeen. The application specialist and reseller for Oracle solutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, plans to double its 200-plus workforce and increase turnover to £50m by 2015. Inoapps also has offices in Edinburgh, Derby and Kuala Lumpur.

Engineering and project management company Amec is to create 300 new jobs in in its North West based Clean Energy Europe business. The recruitment drive will focus on the companys nuclear business. Positions created are set to include safety consultants, project managers and mechanical and electrical engineers.

Kent law firm Brachers has recruited 30 staff in six months and is considering plans to expand its commercial business after completing several large contracts, potentially creating new jobs. It recently completed the 58m sale of Kent Pharmaceuticals to DCC Healthcare and has a good current pipeline of corporate work. 285 employees and 28 partners.

Energy services company 3Sun is creating 80 jobs and targeting a third consecutive year of revenue growth. It has recently expanded into Europe, opening new offices in Denmark and Germany.

Bet365 has increased its workforce by 16% in the past year, recruiting over 400 staff, while turnover has grown by 38% to £993m. The Staffordshire-based online gaming and betting company has entered into an agreement with operational intelligence company ExtraHop to improve the performance, availability and security of its IT infrastructure and applications. The company currently has 1,700 employees and further growth is anticipated.

Dee Set Logistics
Retail solutions business Dee Set Logistics has recruited 550 new employees in the last year, taking staff headcount to 1,972, with recruitment still underway. The Staffordshire company has increased turnover by 28% to £29m.

Professional services firm EY has expanded after recruiting 100 university graduates in 12 months. Its Personal Tax Centre in the city has expanded rapidly, with further potential for international growth. EY now employs 313 staff in Newcastle.

TES based in Cookstown has won a £1m contract on an island in the South Atlantic. TES (NI), which specialises in water and wastewater treatment solutions, has won business worth 1 million on the island of St Helena, with assistance from Invest Northern Ireland. St Helena's existing four water treatment plants to raise drinking water quality levels for 4,000 residents on the remote volcanic island located in the South Atlantic.

Moody's, a provider of credit ratings, research, tools and analysis to the global capital markets, has jobs available in London and Edinburgh for project managers, data managers, business development and more. Moody's Corporation employs approximately 7,000 people worldwide and maintains a presence in 29 countries.

MasterCard is a technology company in the global payments industry, has vacancies in London for business leaders and managers. MasterCard employs around 7,500 staff worldwide.

UK Shared Business Services, based in Newport, has seen increased demand, leading to company expansion and the creation of 130 new jobs. The new jobs include apprenticeships and graduate placements. The company intends to expand throughout the UK. Turnover £44.6m.

Cgi Group Holdings
Global IT firm CGI is opening an Open Source Digital Services Centre for software development in Glasgow, in 2014, creating 250 new jobs. The jobs will support the projected growth in business that will be delivered from the new centre. Roles will range from technical and managerial staff, to graduate and apprenticeship opportunities.

Internet technology provider Traveltek is creating 20 new jobs in addition to 40 new staff taken on earlier this year, with the launch of iCruise. The launch of Traveltek's iCruise selling system has led to increasing demand as many of the UK's major cruise retailers adopt the system.

BLUR (Group)
Blur Group is creating 50 jobs in Exeter. The company, which operates an online service exchange, has opened an R&D base in Exeter and is relocating to Exeter Science Park in November 2013.

Eclipse, KCOM Groups Exeter-based middle-market internet brand, has been named Best SME Solution at the Comms National Awards. The company now has 3,500 customers across the UK and has growth plans, including the creation of 60 jobs.

Budget Energy
Electricity supplier, Budget Energy, will create 50 new jobs after securing a £1m loan. Budget Energy plans to use the working capital to double its workforce over the next five years and will grow its customer base to 100,000 from 40,000 currently.

Gm Marketing (Ireland)
Food marketing firm GM Marketing is investing £1.6m to expand in the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain, creating 15 jobs. Invest NI is providing £63,000 through its Jobs Fund, allowing the company to expand marketing and back office teams.

Gloucestershire based Omega Resource Group is celebrating a five year business deal with a UK wine distributor, Laithwaites, worth around £15m. The contract will see the Stonehouse recruitment company fill around 400 roles, with approximately 250 workers on the shop floor and a further 160 in the call centre.

Response (Building Rewarding Relationships)
Response, a leading contact centre services provider, is creating 50 new jobs, reflecting on-going growth across its client base. The Glasgow-based company has, in the 12 months to October 2013, created 300 jobs after securing four key contract extensions and gaining a significant new client. Turnover £28.3m, 1,310 employees.

T.J. Morris
T.J. Morris, the North West-based retailer trading as Home Bargains, is building a £70m distribution hub in the South West, creating up to 1,200 jobs. The hub will also serve as a management training centre. The firm also intends to open 400 new stores.

Derby City Council
Derby City Council is to develop Infinity Park in Derby, in partnership with Rolls-Royce, the Harpur Crewe Estate, and join developers Wilson Bowden and Miller Birch. The £200m development will provide mixed-commercial space, and create 8,000 hi-tech jobs. The scheme will include office, industrial, leisure and retail space.

Job announcements for Oct week 2...

Grant Thornton
Grant Thornton, the London-based business and financial adviser, has seen an increase in turnover of 13%, now at £471m. The company has promoted 25 partners and taken on 280 trainees since 2012. The company aims to have a turnover of £500m by 2015.

International call centre company, Teleperformance, is creating up to 1,000 jobs in Scotland. Teleperformance is recruiting customer service advisers, trainers and team managers for their call centres. The firm, which generated more than £2bn in revenues last year, already has 7,400 UK staff.

Tnt Post
Private postal operator TNT Post is on schedule with its plan to create 20,000 jobs by 2017. The firm recruits staff through Jobcentre Plus, work programme provider Avanta and through its own pre-employment training course. The expansion follows the 2006 liberalisation of the UK postal market. Turnover £455.9m.

Research Team EU
Research Team EU, a Cumbria-based research firm has expanded into the Netherlands with help of business support programme BIG Cumbria. Research Team EU has recruited more than 15 researchers and seen growth in client numbers and projects. BIG Cumbria provided advice on presenting work using web-based technology.

Security solutions company G4S has opened a new headquarters in Oxfordshire, for its facilities management business, G4S Integrated Services, creating 120 jobs. The facilities management business has grown to £250m turnover, and is planning further expansion. G4S has 620,000 employees worldwide.

Digital marketing agency Online Ventures is relocating its Manchester office and plans to add ten members of staff to its current team of 26 over the 12 months to October 2014.

Hitec (Laboratories)
Hitec, a leading provider of software solutions, is opening a new development centre in Swansea backed by £340,000 business finance from the Welsh Government. The investment will create sixteen highly skilled jobs. Turnover £5.2m, 70 employees.

Aberdeen-based ROVOP, which operates remote controlled submarines used on North Sea oil and gas projects, expects to create 50 jobs after winning a £45m contract with Ceona. ROVOP will supply Ceona with Remote Operated Vessel services on projects in areas such as the North Sea. ROVOP has a turnover of £3.2m.

Online retailer Amazon is taking on 1,500 workers at its distribution centre in Staffordshire this Christmas. Positions have been created to cope with the busy seasonal period. Some of the jobs will become permanent.

H2 Energy
160 new jobs are to be created by Liverpool based, H2 Energy Limited, after a company which converts waste to energy selected the city to set up its manufacturing and innovation centre. About 160 new jobs will be created over the next three years, with an initial 60 by 2014.

Companies increasingly seeking advice on issues such as cyber security has led to professional services firm Ernst & Youngs latest recruitment drive. In the UK, EY is looking to hire 2,400 experienced people in the next 12 months, to meet growing demand from its clients for advisory services. It will also hire 700 graduates, 500 undergraduates and 150 school leavers.

Birchall Blackburn
North West law firm Birchall Blackburn plans to create 50 new jobs over the two years to 2015. The expansion follows the launch of a new brand strategy for the business, in response to changes within the legal industry allowing non-law firms to enter the market.

Aegon UK
Aegon UK has announced plans to create more than 100 new roles at its headquarters over the next few months. The core expansion is driven by the strong growth of Aegon Retirement Choices, the insurer's digital platform launched last year.

Nationwide Platforms Limited
A customer service centre is being built for powered access platform provider Nationwide Platforms, in the West Midlands. The firm is consolidating its operations on the site, allowing it to offer support through the Midlands, East Anglia, and beyond. The site is in the Black Country Enterprise Zone, which could create 3,000 jobs by 2017.

T.I.S.Cumbria Limited
TIS.Cumbria, a Workington engineering firm, has secured £700,000 through the Britains Energy Coast investing in business scheme. The company is opening a new facility, providing offices, rig hall and manufacturing space. 70 positions, including managerial, will be created over an 18-month period.

The Contact Hub Limited
The Contact Hub, a successful and growing Rotherham business, is recruiting 25 full-time staff. The company was formed in 2008 and has grown to 50 employees, including debt management, loan and mortgage specialists. It also refers people on for help with specific issues.

Tnt Post Uk Limited

Ernst & Young LLP
E&Y, one of the Big Four accountancy firms, is set to hire 3,700 people in Britain alone by the end of June 2014 to satisfy growing demand for business advice. The split will be 2400 professionals, including partners and 1300 students spread across assurance, tax, advisory and transaction units.

Accountancy firm EY is doubling the size of its cyber-security and Big Data units, due to growth in demand for consultancy services, mainly from financial clients. The firm plans to recruit 250 cyber security officers and 350 information specialists. Demand for business advice from the communications, telecoms and technology sectors, has also increased.

Ryanair UK
Budget airline Ryanair has entered into a ten-year agreement with Stansted Airport owner MAG, which could create 7,000 new jobs. Ryanair plans to increase its traffic at Stansted by 50% from 13.2 million passengers in 2012 to over 20 million each year, in return for lower costs and more efficient facilities at Essex-based Stansted.

Insurance group HomeServe is to recruit 30 more staff at its customer service site in the, West Midlands, to handle increasing numbers of calls from customers.

Irw Systems
IRW Systems, an expanding Paisley-based software designer, plans to create 30 new IT jobs and double turnover to £5m within 3 years. It will focus on organic growth but will also consider acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

Larking Gowen
Larking Gowen, a firm of chartered accountants and business advisors, has recruited 16 new graduate and A-level students who will study with the firm to become either chartered accountants or accounting technicians. The £14m turnover firm has 9 offices in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.

Pricewaterhousecoopers LLP
Pricewaterhousecoopers has appointed 1,100 graduates across its UK tax, assurance, consulting, actuarial and advisory practices, including 123 at its six offices in the north of England. The firm has also appointed school leavers to its higher apprenticeships programme. Turnover £2.6bn, 3,530 employees.

Sqs Group
Software testing firm SQS is creating 50 jobs in Dublin and 25 in Northern Ireland, over 3 years, including 30 in 2013. It is recruiting software quality engineers and managers, business analysts, performance engineers and software test analysts. The company employs 200 people in Dublin and Belfast and has moved to new headquarters in Dublin.

UK Asset Resolution
UK Asset Resolution, which runs NRAM (previously part of Northern Rock bank) and Bradford & Bingley, has recruited 10 apprentices at its Doxford International office in Sunderland. UKAR takes on 20 apprentices each year in a company-wide scheme. Turnover £2.77bn, 2,200 employees.

Quindell Portfolio
Claims management business Quindell Portfolio is creating 100 jobs at its Hampshire Headquarters, mainly for claims recovery handlers. Jaguar Land Rover is to create 1,700 jobs at its plant in Solihull as part of a £1.5 billion investment. The money will go towards the introduction of new technically advanced aluminium vehicle architecture in future models.

IT infrastructure consultancy CloudTalent unveils its live recruitment campaign in the City of London this Monday 16 September, as part of its plans to recruit 1,000 staff. The campaign features 20 actors dressed as office workers, with only their heads and hands painted blue, representing represents 50 new associates that the company hopes to recruit.

West Midland Safari Park
Multi-million plans to expand West Midlands Safari Park in Worcestershire could create 300 jobs and bring in £10m to the local economy. The proposals include a 250 bedroom hotel, 1,000 delegate conference centre, water park and a new stop on the Severn Valley Railway. Turnover of £11.5m and 380 employees.

Lockheed Martin
Two hundred new jobs are to be created in the Hampshire and London by Lockheed Martin as a result of new contracts worth £300 million. The contracts include a £125 million contract with the Ministry of Justice and a contract in the new NATO headquarters building in Brussels. There will be will new IT jobs created in London and the South West as the company is growing at more than 12 % a year.

Metro Bank plans to create new branches, creating at least 25 jobs at all levels. The bank, which opened its first branch in 2010, has grown to 16 stores and aims to serve every community in Greater London. Turnover £5.2m, 270 employees.

Aker Solutions Angola
AKER Solutions is to create 400 jobs in Aberdeen to keep pace with booming demand from oil and gas firms. The Norwegian oil and gas services business plans to hire specialists in areas ranging from subsea engineering to drilling technology under an initiative it believes will make the company one of the largest employers in the North East of Scotland.

Cloud Sherpas
Cloud Sherpas, a US-based cloud services broker, has acquired London-based Stoneburn Software Services. The acquisition will help Cloud Sherpas to accelerate its international expansion over the 12 months to September 2014. Cloud Sherpas, which already has an office in the UK, plans to double its 70-strong UK workforce.

Derbyshire County Council

EADS has launched a new company, Testia Ltd, at its base in Newport which is set to create 60 new jobs and provide training for students. A £1.4m investment, with support from the Welsh Government, is expected to provide 60 new jobs after five years. This will include trainers, inspectors and high level engineers available as consultants.

Bloom Design
Leeds-based designers, Bloom is undertaking a major expansion programme following international success. The agency recently completed a global digital campaign for global sports brand, Goal.com. It has recruited multi lingual staff to facilitate the growth of international campaigns. Bloom have also moved to larger premises in Leeds to enable them to reach 100 staff.

Matrix Multimedia
Matrix Multimedia, a supplier of technology products for education, has invested £600,000 in new premises in Halifax, Yorkshire. Matrix plans to spend £1m in research and development over three years, creating 8 jobs. Exports make up 75% of company turnover of £1.5m. Matrix sells to 50 countries and is growing at 20% a year.

Everything Everywhere
Mobile phone company EE, the owner of T mobile and Orange, is creating 300 new positions. Up to 200 jobs are being created in South Wales, with another 100 in Darlington and North Tyneside. EE has 15,000 employees 27m customers and a turnover of £6.6bn.

Proxama, the mobile payment technology company, is to use funds from its AIM floatation to double its research and development offices in Norwich, in addition to already-extended space, which has the potential for 60 extra staff. Additional capital from the float will also be used to take advantage of markets in North and South America.

Search Laboratory
Search marketing agency, Search Laboratory is to create six new jobs a month over the next year following a raft of new client wins. Search Laboratory, based in Leeds, also announced it is to open a third office to accommodate this recruitment drive.

Sony UK Technology Centre in Pencoed, is set to create an additional ten jobs and add 6 more product lines. The 6 professional camera products will be added to the product portfolio throughout the year with more than 6000 units to be produced at the top of its core manufacturing business of professional and broadcast camera systems.

Standard Life
Standard Life, Edinburgh-based pensions firm, is creating 46 new customer service roles by 2014. The expansion comes after increased demand linked to the governments auto-enrolment scheme, which came into effect in October 2012. The firm expects 400,000 new customers.

Brunel University
The National Centre for Sustainable Energy Use in Food Chains opened at Brunel University, London, on 5 September 2013. Up to 40 new jobs will be created at the £12m centre, which is the first of six to be opened in the UK dedicated to sustainable energy use.

Job announcements for Sep week 1 ...

BT Group
BT has confirmed plans to create up to 150 engineering jobs as part of its roll out of fibre broadband across Scotland. The telecoms giant said around 90 posts will be in the Highlands and Islands, with the rest spread between Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Dumfries, Galashiels and Aberdeen. The workers are being offered fixed term 18 month contracts.

Financial technology specialist FNZ will increase its Edinburgh workforce by nearly 10% with the addition of 30 project management and operations staff. FNZ develops wealth management platform technology used by financial services firms such as Axa Wealth, HSBC and Standard Life. It manages about £35 billion of assets, against £20bn at the start of 2012.

Southwestern Business Process Services
Ireland-based outsourcing company Southwester is planning to open a centre in Milton Keynes, creating 200 jobs. The company provides back office and logistics support to firms such as the Post Office, Vodafone, and Aer Lingus.

Chemoxy International
Middlesbrough-based chemical specialist Chemoxy International has created 20 new jobs and increased business by £4m. The company received support from the Business Acceleration for SME scheme delivered by the North-East Industry Cluster, with a management buy-out, and to identify supply chain connections and new business opportunities. Turnover £43.5m, 80 employees.

Randox Laboratories
Randox Laboratories, a Northern Ireland-based biotechnology firm is recruiting 66 employees to work in specialist jobs, including in South America and East Asia, following continued growth in market share. The company has already recruited 200 new staff in 2013. Randox has 25 international offices and is expanding its Co Donegal R&D base. 1,200 employees, £68.6m turnover.

Admiral Insurance
South Wales based car Insurer, Admiral, has announced a rise in profits just months after revealing it would create new jobs for Newport. Figures showed a 6% rise in half yearly profits. The firm, which has offices in Newport as well as Swansea and Cardiff, said pre-tax profits stood at £181.4m, compared to £171.8m last year. 40 new jobs are to be created at Newport site.

Sussex Innovation Centre Management
Sussex Innovation Centre has secured funding for The Catalyst Team, an £810,000, three-year project backed by the HEFCE, Sussex University and local companies. Placements at smaller businesses with high growth potential will be offered to 50 students. The project could create 100 jobs and generate up to £4m in additional turnover for Brighton businesses.

Waitrose is set to create 850 jobs by stepping up expansion of its convenience stores. The supermarket arm of the John Lewis partnership is to open four smaller city based stores, called little Waitrose, around London this year. This will create 200 jobs. Ten new shops next year will create up to 650 new posts, ranging from management to shop assistants.

Warwick Manufacturing
Warwick Manufacturing Group is to build a new engineering academy in Coventry which will cater for 640 students aged 14-19 and create up to 50 jobs. The three-storey building will be based in the grounds of Westwood Academy.

Wright Leisure
Wright Leisure is accelerating the expansion of its Xercise4Less gym chain after securing£5m from the Business Growth Fund. The expansion is expected to create 4,000 jobs. The company recorded turnover of £7.5m in 2013, which has more than doubled from 2012, and it plans to open another 100 clubs over five years.

X-Wind Power
X-Wind Power Limited, the turbine manufacturer, is relocating from the Isle of Wight, creating 106 jobs at Discovery Park in Sandwich, Kent. The roles will be based at Discovery Park, and will be mainly aimed at engineers and technicians, with apprenticeships also available.

Job announcements for Aug week 5 ...

Asset Development and Improvement
ADIL, the Aberdeen-based oil and gas consultancy, expects turnover to grow by 50% to £31m in 2013, thanks to increased spending on developments in areas like the North Sea. The firm has also increased employees from 109 to 162, with more jobs planned.

Wirral based legal services business, Riverview Law has announced significant expansion plans as it aims to add 100 new staff to its payroll following recent contract wins with FTSE 100 businesses. The majority of the new roles in Riverview Law and Riverview Solicitors, which include lawyers, business law executives and client managers among others, will be based in its Bromborough offices.

Skyscanner, the Scotland based online flight comparison business, is expected to recruit 150 people in Scotland in the next year and to double total employee numbers to 500 to support rapid growth in international markets. Turnover grew by 65%, to £33.5 million in 2012.

Barnsley based energy saving company, NWS, is set to bring 200 new jobs to the area by the end of this year. The company has hired 80 new staff over the past four weeks and plans to hire 120 more over the next four months. The increase in its workforce is because of the company’s approval as a Green Deal Installer and Assessor, which means they can now fit a wider variety of energy saving measures.

Rainbow Communications
Business telecoms company Rainbow Communications has opened new offices in east Belfast after a £250,000 investment. They have also expanded into Scotland creating 14 new jobs in the new Glasgow office, and 6 new jobs in Belfast. The company is the only direct business partner in Northern Ireland for EEs new 4G super fast broadband.

Ceram Group
Ceram, the Staffordshire-based materials technology company, is continuing its expansion with 12 new staff being taken on before December 2013. 20 specialist roles have already been created since January 2013. The growth is planned mainly across its service range.

Edinburgh Airport
Edinburgh Airport is having a £150m investment over 5 years by increasing the size of the terminal building to include more shops, offices and larger security area. This move will create 100 new jobs with the building work due to start in October 2013.

Gyrodata, which specialises in high-tech drilling equipment, is extending its base in Cumbria by 150 square metres and fitting a separate electronics testing facility. The expansion could create 25 jobs. Turnover £28.9m, 165 employees.

Online fashion retailer, Boohoo.com, with a warehouse in Burnley has announced the creation of 50 new jobs in the North West. The company who has headquarters in Manchester will be recruiting for full time permanent positions across both Burnley and Manchester.

The Car Group
The Car Group, the Staffordshire online car buying service, which trades as wewantanycar.com, is creating 20 jobs across its 60 UK branches. It also plans to open 10 more offices, later in 2013. We Want Any Car has experienced rapid growth since launching and is expanding in London and Scotland

Car maker Lotus is create 100 new jobs for specialist engineers, manufacturing operatives and university leavers, at its Hethel, Norfolk, base, following a £100m investment to strengthen engineering, productivity, efficiency and quality. Sales have increased and Lotus now makes 45 cars a week, and plans to develop new products and expand into new, global markets.

Wool and the Gang
East London based hand-knitted fashion label Wool And The Gang raises £1.8m from venture capital firms to expand online and develop global network of knitters. The company uses individual knitters in Peru to make the clothing, but now they more knitter to supply the anticipated rise in demand and are currently looking for 50 UK knitters.

Billingham based Tracerco has secured a £1m grant for the Governments Regional Growth Fund towards creating the new diagnostics and measurements research centre, at a total cost of £8.6m and creating 50 new jobs.

Logicalis Group
Logicalis, the Berkshire-based I.T company, has launched a UK managed services centre in Nantgarw, South Wales. The new centre comes after a relocation from Malaysia and with 438k finance from the Welsh Government, creating 20 regional jobs.

RMT Accountants & Business Advisors
Newcastle Upon Tyne based RMT Accountants & Business Advisors has expanded its specialist healthcare division with the appointment of three senior practioners. The company plans to expand the 13-strong team to 20 by the end of 2013 and to diversify into new areas of healthcare, including opticians, dentists, pharmacy, care homes, and animal healthcare.

Resource Management (Solutions)
Resource Management (Solutions), which provides talent acquisition and talent management solutions, has recorded a 37% increase in turnover to reach £36.4m, up from £26.6m. The company is likely to recruit in vast numbers to support the growth.

Royal Bolton Hospital NHS Trust
The Royal Bolton Hospital will appoint 143 new nursing staff as part of a £2.5m investment to improve patient care, following a review of shift patterns and staffing levels on wards.

Zinc Ahead
Zinc Ahead, which provides marketing compliance solutions for life science companies, has expanded its space at the Oxford Business Park after securing a private equity investment from Accel-KKR. Zinc Ahead expects to double the size of its UK-based team over three years to 2016. Turnover £6.4m, 40 employees.

A global sales and marketing business, Clearanswer is bringing more than 300 jobs to Yorkshire. The company is set to create 300 new jobs in its call centre in Hull with more jobs to follow in Leeds too.

Yorkshire Building Society saw a strong financial performance in the first six months of 2013 and announced the creation of another 100 news jobs. The UKs second largest building society demonstrated the benefits of being a trusted financial services provider, seeing pre-tax profits dip to £80.1m in the six months to June 30 from £82.2m previously while gross lending increased to £2.5bn during the period compared to £2.4bn for the same period last year.

Shaping Cloud
Manchester IT consultancy, Shaping Cloud, will appoint new developers to its team. The company is expanding its team after securing a place on the Government G-Cloud framework, which has led to a number of significant client wins.

A US-based firm that makes components for mobile phones, Compound Photonics, is expected to create around 200 jobs after purchasing the former RFMD site at Newton Aycliffe. The acquisition of the site opens up a brand new future for the plant and its people.

The Big Cat Group
Full service Marketing & Communications agency Big Cat Group, is looking to appoint new staff members, to handle an increasing number of client PR accounts, in response to strong business growth at the Birmingham-based agency.

Housebuilder Persimmon is recruiting 225 young people nationwide, following an increase in new homes being built. Persimmon legally completed 5,022 new homes in the first half of 2013, 7% higher than for the 2012 first half. At the end of June 2013 forward sales were 19% ahead of the same time in 2012, at 920m.

J C Bamford Excavators
JCB has launched a £5m Young Talent scheme which could create 130 UK jobs. 60 apprentices have started work at JCB headquarters in Staffordshire, under the scheme. JCB is introducing an international business apprenticeship, the first of its kind in the UK.

Marlow based, reseller, Softcat welcomes 36 new recruits to its sales and IT teams in London, Manchester and Marlow. 25 new starts will join the Marlow team in sales and sales management in addition to more specific roles in particular sectors. Five new starts will join the Manchester team, and six will join the London team, all within the sales department.

Phone and broadband provider Plusnet is to open a second office in Leeds in October 2013, creating 250 extra jobs over three years. The new base is undergoing a £2m refurbishment. PlusNet expects to have 1,100 employees across the two sites by 2016. It also plans to launch an apprentice scheme.

Stanton Ralph & Co
Stanton Ralph & Co, a leading Shropshire accountancy firm, is appointing new staff members as part of its ongoing expansion. The firm has seen a steady increase in demand for its services since moving to larger premises in Bridgnorth, in 2011.

OnePoint Systems
Sunderland based software company, OnePoint Systems has won a $300,000 (195,000) contract to install and maintain a warehousing management system for a US manufacturing facility. The new contract is the latest in a number of warehouse systems orders the company has won in the US, with more expected to follow in the coming months.

Citadel Security Products
Citadel Security Products is positioning itself for growth with major investment in staff and technology and the acquisition of a complementary business. The firm has re-branded its group of companies under the Citadel Industries name, creating 15 new jobs and invested £300K.

The Car Group
The Car Group, the Staffordshire online car buying service, which trades as wewantanycar.com, is creating 20 jobs across its 60 UK branches. It also plans to open 10 more offices, later in 2013. We Want Any Car has experienced rapid growth since launching and is expanding in London and Scotland.

Almac Diagnostics
Almac Diagnostics has seen a 22% increase in turnover to reach £4.9m for the 13 months to 30 September 2012, up from £4.1m for the 12 months to 1 September 2011. The Craigavon, Northern Ireland-based pharmaceutical company is investing a total of £13.7m to expand its manufacturing facility, creating 229 jobs over three years.

Derby based, text messaging company, Collstream is about to hit annual turnover of £3m, and has taken on seven additional members of staff and is starting to look at overseas markets and potential acquisitions. The company sends 8 million text messages a month on behalf of clients including banks, credit card firms, utility companies, retailers and top-tier football clubs. The latest intake of recruits takes the headcount at the firm up to 26 and the firm is hoping to take on the next wave of people to help drive growth.

East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust
East Midlands Ambulance Service is to recruit 126 new staff by the end of 2013, including paramedics and emergency care assistants, to help reduce waiting times. The recruitment campaign follows a report by health inspectors highlighting that staff shortages were putting patients in danger because ambulances were not reaching them quickly enough.
