Job announcements for Nov week 2...

Grindeys Solicitors Limited
Law firm Grindeys Solicitors Limited, which operates from three offices in Stoke-on-Trent Staffordshire, has more than doubled its staff team from 160 to 331. Turnover has also grown substantially, by 133.6% to £17m. The company has a national client base and operates an active recruitment strategy.

Meridian Delta
Direct marketing business, Meridian Delta has set out plans to create 25 new jobs in the next 12 months after almost quadrupling its turnover to 1.9m inside three years. The group is now set to launch three new divisions in the next 12 months, mobile websites, apps and specialist B2B magazine/internet services, creating 25 jobs in the process.

New Call Telecom
New Call Telecom, the London-based telecoms firm, is relocating its Lancashire base to Burnley, and is currently recruiting 30 new staff to deal with its expansion. The firm currently employs 110 people. Turnover £13.5m.

Kc Contact Centres
Sales success at retailer Victoria Plumb has led to the creation of more than 30 new jobs at Hull based outsourced contact centre provider KC Contact Centres.

Civica Uk
Civica UK has continued to expand with a 10% increase in turnover to 109.6m, while staff numbers have increased from 841 to 1,060. The company, which has a regional office in the West Midlands, has secured a presence on all four Lots of the latest iteration of the Government G-Cloud framework.

Utilitywise
Energy procurement consultancy Utilitywise is to create 30 jobs, including energy consultant and team manager roles, at its office in the West Midlands. The company has grown through acquisitions to become one of the largest firms in the industry and is now expanding further. Utilitywise has turnover of £14.4m and 230 employees.

Alstom Ltd
Engineering company Alstom is currently hiring staff at its national sales and servicing headquarters. The roles will include sales and servicing positions. The company currently employs 6,500 people across the country and has 300 vacancies UK-wide. UK sales in the first six months of its current year were £574 million.

Goodrich Actuation Systems
Goodrich Actuation Systems, an expanding aerospace firm with a UK base in the West Midlands, has increased staff headcount from 1,291 to 1,445, while turnover has grown by 14% to 246.8m. The company is a business division of UTC Aerospace Systems, one of the largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defence products in the world.

Blue Rainbow Apartments
Blue Rainbow Apartments, the Manchester-based hospitality firm, is launching a new venture, Tea 42 in a £325k investment. The venture will launch with its first caf in the city centre, creating 40 jobs, with 20 locations planned. The company aims to grow turnover from £4m to £13m by 2017.

Alun Griffiths (Contractors)
Wales-based contractor Alun Griffiths is to start work on the 1.5m expansion of Shrewsbury Business Park in Shropshire. The project is expected to generate 13m of private sector investment, potentially creating 600 jobs.
