Ryanair creates jobs

Budget airline Ryanair is expected to create 1000 extra jobs at airports in the North West and the East Midlands as the company plans to expand operations to carry an additional 1 million passengers a year.
The extra passengers and new jobs will be created following the opening of 9 new routes from Liverpool, Manchester and East Midlands airports. The breakdown of the jobs is 460 new roles at East Midlands, 360 at Manchester and 180 at Liverpool. These new roles will include pilots, engineers, cabin crew, handling staff and baggage staff. Ryanair hope to have the roles filled by the summer of 2013. The news will be a particular boost for the East Midlands after the sell-off of the British Midland International airline and closure of BMI Baby which left the airport without two of its key airline partners.
