As many wannabe lawyers already know, the likelihood of securing a job at a top UK law firm has decreased since the recession. Legal Week research published recently reveals that the total number of training contract vacancies at UK top 30 firms fell by 11% over the last three years; a total of 1,225 training contracts were offered by these firms in 2010, which is 150 fewer than the amount up for grabs two years ago.
