A DERBY IT firm which started off in a spare bedroom of its founder is celebrating after achieving an annual turnover of more than £10 million for the first time in its history. Delighted Brett Critchley, managing director of Orchid IT, on Pride Park, said : "We had expected to go through the barrier last year but many companies were uncertain about the future and some clients went out of business, including two which we had major contracts with. "But as firms have looked at reducing costs they have turned to outsourcing their IT services and in the last six months in particular activity has really picked up."
