Job rumours for April week 3 ...


The Oxford Trust
The Oxford Trust, an educational charity, plans to build a science centre in Oxford, which could create 150 jobs. The £38m development will feature interactive exhibits, a planetarium and laboratory. It could attract 150,000 visitors each year and could be completed by summer 2015 subject to planning permission.

KPMG
KMPG, a professional services firm, have announced that they are creating a new tax centre of excellence in Glasgow’s financial district in summer 2013, creating 150 new jobs, with the financial assistance of a Regional Selective Assistance grant of up to 1.7m. Turnover of 698.1m and currently employ 10,150 staff.

Legend Club Management Systems
Legend Club Management Systems, a York-based provider of management software, is creating 15 to 20 jobs in 2013, after increasing turnover by 31% in 2012 and headcount by 25% to 60. It plans to create a range of opportunities from entry level IT jobs to senior engineering jobs.

BathEmpire.com
Online bathroom retailer BathEmpire.com is appointing new roles across exhibitions management and project management. The Coventry-based company is attending several major exhibitions and home shows in 2013 as part of a strategy to build on the rapid growth achieved in its first three years.

Atos IT Services
Atos Healthcare are to create 145 new jobs at their Stockton office to deal with an increase in business, including Fit for Work tests for disability benefit applicants. The centre will process personal independence payment benefit, which has replaced disability living allowance. Turnover of 778m and currently employs 5,900 staff.

Transcend Corporate
Birmingham-based Transcend Corporate which specialises in acquisitions, divestments and fundraising is adding members to its team. The firm has a number of transactions in process and is experiencing a sustained increase in activity.

Sas Software
Business analytics and software firm SAS is to create 94 new jobs in Scotland, expanding its existing operations in East Kilbride.

CH2M Hill
CH2M Hill, infrastructure and programme management company, is creating 500 new jobs across its UK divisions. The company, which currently has 3,300 UK employees, will create 500 engineering roles, 40 graduate positions, 30 apprenticeships and 30 paid internships in a 65m investment. Turnover 89.7m.

Penso
Coventry based engineering company Penso is looking to create 100 jobs to aid its expansion. Funding has been provided by the governments Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative (AMSCI). 140 employees.

Cassons Financial Planning
Lancashire-based Cassons Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers has strengthened its team with five new appointments. The expansion follows a sustained period of business growth for the firm.
