Job rumours for April week 2....


Atos Healthcare are to create 145 new jobs at their Stockton office to deal with an increase in business, including Fit for Work tests for disability benefit applicants. The centre will process personal independence payment benefit, which has replaced disability living allowance. Turnover of 778m and currently employs 5,900 staff

Sas Software
Business analytics and software firm SAS is to create 94 new jobs in Scotland, expanding its existing operations in East Kilbride.

Ch2m Hill
CH2M Hill, infrastructure and programme management company, is creating 500 new jobs across its UK divisions. The company, which currently has 3,300 UK employees, will create 500 engineering roles, 40 graduate positions, 30 apprenticeships and 30 paid internships in a 65m investment. Turnover 89.7m.

Ayo Media
Digital agency AYO Media has increased its North East team by taking on five new recruits following several new contract wins and additional work from its national client base.

Ch2M Hill Services
Infrastructure and programme management company CH2M Hill is on a drive to hire 500 new staff at all levels over the next year, many of them in transportation.

Nagra Media
Nagra Media UK is to expand its operations in Cwmbran and create 25 skilled jobs.

Gaia Technologies
North Wales IT company Gaia Technologies has secured new contracts, increased turnover by £3m and created 17 new jobs over the past 12 months. The expansion for Bangor-based IT business, Gaia Technologies comes after it was awarded £120,000 from the Welsh Governments Economic Growth

Oxford Trust
The Oxford Trust, an educational charity, plans to build a science centre in Oxford, which could create 150 jobs. The £38m development will feature interactive exhibits, a planetarium and laboratory. It could attract 150,000 visitors each year and could be completed by summer 2015 subject to planning permission.

Unify Business Solutions
Unify Business Solutions, the Chesterfield-based voice and data communications specialist, has clinched a £600,000 contract to supply telecommunications services to global outsourcing company Serco.

XPD8 Solutions
XPD8 Solutions estimates it will add 18 new staff this year to meet demand after securing more than £2 million in contracts since the turn of the year.
