Job announcements for Feb week 2


Spotify
Spotify has made a number of internal promotions, including a new UK and Benelux managing director, as a result of its rapid expansion. The company has an annual turnover of £95.5m and employs 65 members of staff.

Adviserplus Business Solutions
Administrative outsourcing firm AdviserPlus, based in Merseyside, is planning to take on 50 staff during 2013 after winning a number of contracts. The firm supports large organisations across the UK by providing HR and other professional services. The company has a turnover of £7,061,928.

Easyjet
Airline easyJet is to create 330 new jobs for pilots in 2013 across all of its 11 UK bases. The new posts will be in Gatwick, Southend, Luton, Stansted, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol and Belfast. The company has a turnover of £3,854,000,000.

Carrington Carr
Carrington Carr, a Leicester-based financial planning firm is recruiting 36 employees in a variety of roles including will instructing agents, administrators, telemarketers and client liaison agents. The jobs are being part-funded by the government £1bn Work Programme. Turnover £27.7m, 290 employees.

Dtz
DTZ is making 4 new appointments across a range of teams in its Manchester office. Three of the appointments are for new roles and are in response to client demand for services.

Hill Dickinson LLP
Law firm Hill Dickinson is acquiring Manchester and Sheffield-based defendant insurance practices from DLA Piper. Thirty employees will move to Hill Dickinson on 28 February 2013 as part of the agreement. Hill Dickinson will acquire the DLA insurance client base.

Spearing Waite LLP
Leicester law firm Spearing Waite has advised Longwall Ventures Enterprise Capital Fund on the raising of 40m for its new fund. The firm is expanding its corporate team.

Loughborough University
Loughborough University, based in Leicestershire, is to expand its Science and Enterprise Park as it looks to attract more companies specialising in advanced technologies. Four thousand new jobs could be created as a direct result. Fifty businesses are currently on the campus, employing more than two thousand people.

Edge Innovate (NI)
Northern Ireland engineering firm Edge Innovate is to create 84 new jobs in a £3.4 million expansion plan. The company is investing in product development, product research and development, new facilities and export Sales and Marketing functions.

Mattioli Woods
Pension and wealth management firm Mattoili Woods, based in Enderby in Leicestershire, is to create another 100 jobs during 2012-2013. The company has recorded a 26% rise in pre-tax profit to £2.52m for the six months to the end of November 2012. Revenue increased by 29.4% to £11.26 million.

G4S
Private security firm G4S has secured a contract with Warwickshire Policce for the supply of 50 civilian investigators. The security staff will work for the CID department of Warwickshire Police and carry out criminal investigations. G4S has a turnover of 7,522,000,000.

thebigword
Translation and interpreting firm thebigword is creating 41 permanent and 51 temporary positions after securing new contracts valued at £12m.
