Job announcements for January week 2


UK Asset Resolution
West Yorkshire based UK Asset Resolution (UKAR), the holding company which manages the Government owned Bradford & Bingley and Northern Rock (Asset Management), is recruiting for 40 new vacancies. The vacancies consist of a mixture of new roles.

Intercede Group
Security software specialist Intercede saw profits fall to 900,000 in the year to 31 March 2012, from 2 million the previous year. The company has invested 1.2 million in the business, creating 30 jobs in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, as it seeks to grow.

Roberts Mart & Co.
Manufacturing firm Roberts Mart & Co expects to create up to 25 jobs this year as it prepares to gain a bigger share of the export market. The company has invested £2.5m in plant machinery to increase production capacity and expects to increase turnover by more than £2m.

Cordell Group
Engineering company Cordell Group, based in Stockton, Teesside, has taken on 20 more apprentices. Staff numbers increased to record levels in 2012, including 76 apprentices in total.

Morgan Motor Company
Worcestershire-based car firm Morgan has taken 1,500 orders for 2013, up from 1,000 in 2012. The number of people employed at its Malvern factory has increased by 20 to 180. The success encompasses all three Morgan car ranges the Classic, the Three Wheeler and the Aero series.

Aneurin Bevan Local Health Board
Aneurin Bevan Local Health Board is planning a 6 million expansion of radiology services in Gwent hospitals. 140 full-time jobs will be created over the five years to 2017. A new Specialist and Critical Care Centre is due to open in 2017/2018 to cope with rising demand.

Walkers Snacks
Walkers crisps is creating 110 jobs as part of a 15.2 million investment at its Leicester factory. The company employs 2,000 people in Leicester.

Eagle One Holdings
Property development company Eagle One are investing £4.5m in a new retail and trade counter development in Exeter, Devon. The Alphington Retail Park Scheme will include four units with planning consent for bulky goods retail and warehouse/trade floor space.

Robert Woodhead
Nottinghamshire construction company Robert Woodhead has recruited 18 employees and secured new contracts since joining the East Midlands-wide Sustainable Construction iNet. Funding from iNet and the European Regional Development Fund supported product development and the launch of Woodhead Living, specialising in sustainable developments. Turnover increased 58% to £18.2m in 2012.

Sita UK Ltd
Recycling and resource management company SITA UK has invested £2.5m in a recycling plant in Purbeck in Dorset. The facility will enable SITA to increase processing capacity and at least ten new jobs have been created as a direct result.

HSBC Holdings PLC
British multinational banking and financial services company HSBC has appointed Roger Pratt as Commercial Director for Cardiff and South East Wales. The new role will focus on supporting businesses in the South East Wales region with a turnover of up to £30m.

Kedco Plc
Kedco, which develops and operate biomass electricity and heat generation plants in the UK and Ireland, has completed the acquisition of Reforce Energy Limited, gaining an active pipeline of over 60 projects, with a potential capacity of in excess of 40MW.
