Job announcements for Dec week 1 ...


The Phoenix Partnership
Clinical software developer The Phoenix Partnership, is growing quickly and plans to employ 50 new staff by January 2013, increasing its current 180-strong team by 25% and moving into a new building able to accommodate 500 staff. Turnover £24.7m.

Hampshire County Council
Hampshire County Council plans to employ 1,000 apprentices aged 16 to 25, over five years, at the rate of 200 a year. It will also award 10 scholarships a year, 50 in total, to young people from poorer families. Headcount has fallen by 1,500 as part of £100m spending cuts over the two years to 2012.

Integreon Business Services
Integreon is opening a legal document review centre in its London office in response to increased demand for onshore legal process outsourcing (LPO) services. 100 extra staff will carry out LPO services such as managed review and technology consulting at the London base. Turnover £68.3m, 940 employees.

Allstate Northern Ireland
IT company Allstate is creating 60 jobs for experienced IT professionals in Derry and Belfast. The new jobs are a result of rapid growth within the company and could be in place as early as Christmas 2012.

Vibris
Marketing company Vibris CCS have invested £1m in a new call centre in Great Yarmouth which is to open in January 2013 creating 60 jobs. The company already have a site in Ipswich employing 20 staff.

Concentrix Technologies
Technology company Concentrix Technology plans to create 100 jobs in Belfast, with the positions being in software development. Invest Northern Ireland has offered the company £749,000 of support to secure the jobs.

The Contact Company
The Contact Company has won an outsourcing contract with electronic banking company Advanced Payment Solutions to handle the company’s call centre operations. 300 new jobs will be created at the call centre in Merseyside, which already employs 600 people.

Aircraft Maintenance Support Services
Aircraft Maintenance Support Services is to invest £1.1m to expand its Bridgend facility and create 28 jobs after securing a £700,000 funding package from Barclays and £300,000 from the Welsh Government Economic Growth Fund. The company is expanding to meet growing demand for its products. 130 employees, turnover £14.1m.

BPE Solicitors
BPE Solicitors in Gloucestershire will recruit new members of staff as part of its ongoing expansion. The appointments strengthen the commercial property, employment, commercial litigation and science and technology teams. BPE has approximately 21 partners, 43 fee earners and 56 support staff.

Genesis Associates
Cheshire recruitment firm Genesis Associates, expects turnover to increase from £2.5m to £3.5m in 2013. Its 30-strong team will be increased to 45, largely due to growth in international demand in the engineering market.

Welcomm Communications
14 extra jobs are to be created when Market Harborough firm Welcomm Communications moves into larger premises in 2013. The company currently employs 56 staff.

Hilton International Hotels
Hilton is recruiting 40 staff for the new Hampton by Hilton hotel in Exeter, which is opening on 1 March 2013. A variety of roles are available at all levels plus a number of management positions.

Inverclyde Telecommunications
Inverclyde Telecom, a provider of network and mobile telecommunications hardware and services based in Greenock, Scotland, has secured a major contract with mobile phone company Shebang. The contract, to run a mobile network for Shebang, will create 24 new jobs over nine months.

U Can Recycling
Not-for-profit social enterprise U Can Recycling plans to expand in 2013, doubling its workforce to 20 and moving to larger premises in Leeds. The company is set to quadruple its turnover from the previous year.

Xpd Limited
XPD Ltd, a Middlesex-based telecommunications and IT products dealer group, has recruited eight new staff members to its Business Development, Telesales and Central Marketing Departments. The expansion allows the group to offer a wider variety of services. Kim Gladstone is Head of Business Development.
