Job announcements for July week 1

ABB
Engineering company ABB is creating 120 jobs in Scotland. In Aberdeen, it will add 100 sales and engineering posts by the end of 2012 where it is expanding in the marine sector, turbo charging and automation. It is also developing a project office in East Kilbride with new jobs expected. 2011 revenue was 40 billion dollars.

Teleperformance
As part of its business expansion strategy, UK call centre company, Teleperformance UK, has created 400 jobs at its sites in North Wales and Northern Ireland. The roles created will be in customer service and the client executive department.

Compario
Compario has continued its UK expansion and is recruiting new country managers, managers and executives. It has also entered into a partnership with E-Commerce technology agency The Commerce Partnership. Compario, which provides connected commerce solutions, plans to expand its UK customer base.

Version 1 Software
Dublin-based IT consultancy firm Version 1 is opening an Oracle competency centre in Belfast. It has secured £359,000 funding from Invest NI to support the expansion. 26 jobs will be created including opportunities for senior and junior Oracle consultants. Version 1 employs 300 staff.

Mitchell Farrar Group
Financial services company Investor Compensation, part of the Mitchell Farrar group, has moved to new offices in West Yorkshire, creating 65 jobs. The Mitchell Farrar Group, which employs 500 staff, had a turnover of £30m in the year to 1 March 2012 and is projecting £40m for the current year.

Gusto Telecom Solutions
Gusto Telecom solutions, a new mobile accessories distributor based in Coventry, expects turnover of 5m-7m in its first year of trading after securing five major retail partners. Gusto expects to expand to a team of 30 by the end of 2012. It has also opened an office in Hong Kong.

Attenda
IT company Attenda is opening a new office in Gwent, creating 150 new high-level IT jobs. The company received £1.98m funding from the Welsh Government. It also plans to build bespoke offices.

M C Edwards (Insurance Brokers)
MCE Insurance, the UK leading independent motorbike, motorcycle, scooter, moped and quad bike insurer, is strengthening its team with new management positions. MCE recorded turnover of £13.4m in 2011 and employs 167 staff.

Northern Recruitment Group
Northern Recruitment Group recorded a 72% increase in profits to £1.1m in 2011 following business growth. Demand for staff has increased in the finance, IT and engineering sectors. The managed services division has also grown significantly. The company plans to expand its 100-strong team by 10 in 2012.

Redx Pharma
Pharmaceutical firm Redx Pharma plans to create 119 jobs in Liverpool at a 10.8m pounds centre finding treatments for superbugs such as MRSA. It has submitted a bid for 4.7m pounds to the Government Regional Growth Fund, to support the launch of a new Anti-Infectives division.

Shropshire Council
Shropshire Council is launching a new company, called Inspiring Partnerships and Enterprise (IP&E), to manage many of its services. It is recruiting a managing director for the new firm, with recruitment of a commercial director and financial director expected to follow. Up to 1,700 of the councils 6,500 staff could be moved to IP&E.

Sytner Group
Sytner Group is opening a £10m Audi dealership in Leicester in July 2012 creating 12 jobs. It will replace an existing showroom in the city and employ 70 staff in total including 3 apprentices. The dealership is expected to double in size within three years, increasing staff numbers to 100 and turnover from £24m to £50m.

Totalpost Services
Totalpost Services, which specialises in mailroom solutions, is strengthening its recently established sales team with more appointments. The Cumbria based company is experiencing continued growth. Turnover £1.9m, 30 employees.

Olenick Global
US-based Olenick & Associates Inc is establishing an IT facility in Belfast creating 55 high value jobs. Olenick provides quality assurance, software testing, project management and IT infrastructure consulting services. It has secured £355,000 from Invest NI to set up the operation and a further £134,000 towards training.
