Google has joined forces with educational charity Teach First to
support the training of more than 100 Teach First ICT and science
teachers over the next three years. The partnership is a response to the severe shortage of ICT and
science teachers, and will place teachers in schools in challenging
circumstances. They will seek to get pupils from disadvantaged
socio-economic backgrounds enthusiastic about ICT and open students’
eyes to the possibility of a career in science. The first 34 teachers trained through the new initiative will start
working in classrooms in September this year. Google will also provide
