Pharmacy group Alliance Boots has said that profits rose in the UK, despite a drop in demand for cold and flu medicine following a relatively warm winter. A lift in beauty and toiletries saw the group, which has more than 2,500 UK stores, increase UK retail profits by 5.2% to £750 million.
