Unemployment falls for the first time since May 2011

Unemployment has fallen by 0.1% in the three months to April 2012, according to the Office for National Statistics.

The ONS findings published this morning, found the unemployment rate was 8.3% of the economically active population, down 0.1% on the previous quarter.
