KPMG to double number of students in paid-for accountancy degree programme

The Big Four accountancy firm has vowed to recruit twice the number of 18 year-olds onto its six-year degree scheme from next September, paying tuition fees and a starting salary of about £20,000. Students will gain a BSc in Accounting from the university of Durham, Exeter or Birmingham – a new edition for 2012 – as well as professional qualifications.
