Jobs will go as knitwear exports are hit

A DERBYSHIRE knitwear firm is planning to shed 60 jobs because of tough trading conditions in the UK and abroad. John Smedley, based at Lea Mills, said it was looking to make the redundancies because of the "difficult economy" in the UK and overseas, which has resulted in "worsening trading conditions".
