An engineering jobs fair is being held in the city next week. Companies hoping to recruit at the event include industrial giants such as Rolls-Royce, JCB, DeltaRail and Greene, Tweed. Among the roles available are mechanical design engineers and calibration engineers. There will also be advice and guidance on future job opportunities in engineering as well as information on graduate recruitment schemes under way this summer. It will take place on Friday, June 17, at the University of Derby's Enterprise Centre, in Bridge Street, between 1pm and 4pm.
The event has been organised by recruitment consultancy Syntax, based in College Place, Derby. Managing director Roger Frost said: "Derby continues to be the UK's premier engineering city and there is a wealth of new and established talent here.
"Many of our key clients are looking to expand their technical staff in the coming months and we wanted to ensure that local candidates had the first opportunity to be considered for these posts."
